![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif?v=92.2){kind=small} disney100 is a community that challenges you to make a set of 100 Disney icons. There are two vastly different ways of going about this, so here's an overview of both:Fixed Deadline Challenges (traditional format) First, you claim a Disney subject. Then you make 100 icons of that subject, some of which follow provided themes and some of which are up to you (AC - artist's choice). You are given three months in which you must finish your claim, although you are allowed to finish early. If three months isn't enough time, you may request an extension or give up your claim. Only one person may have a claim at a time (for example, two people can't be doing The Little Mermaid (movie) at once). For more information, please refer to the FAQ post for traditional challenges. Related Links: Themes List 50-50 Challenge Alternate Theme Set Technical Challenge Monthly Challenges (new format) At the beginning of each month, you'll be given the opportunity to claim a subject. Each week mods will provide you with several themes and you must make 5-10 icons from those themes. At the start of the next month, you can either switch the subject of your claim or keep it the same. When you've finished 100 icons (for your subject or subjects), your claim is finished! There is no set deadline and your claim lasts as long as you don't skip more than one week per month or give it up. For more information, please refer to the FAQ post for monthly challenges. Mini Challenges Every so often there will be small competitive challenges. Refer to the overview of mini challenges for more info. |
01. You must join the community before anything else, so that you are able to get posting access. 02. Only Disney productions can be claimed. For a list of Disney productions, click here. 03. Check the Current Claims List. This post has information on what subjects are currently claimed and unavailable. For fixed-deadline challenges, if the subject you want is available, you can comment to that post at any time with your claim. For monthly challenges you will need to wait for the monthly sign-up post. In either case, once your request has been approved, it will be added to the Current Claims List. 04. Tag all your posts with the tags assigned when your claim is approved. Additionally, when you complete a claim, add the "!complete" tag to your post. 05. If you realize you won't be able to complete your claim and would like to give it up, comment at the Claims Request Post saying so, to free up the claim for others. 06. When you post, please use no more then three teaser/preview icons (or three per person for a 50-50 claim). All others must be behind an lj-cut. 07.
